Joanne Lucas

Joanne has spent more than 16 years in residential asset management, developing an expertise in strategically positioning properties for long term value accretion. She is known for her collaborative approach to issues, forging strong alliances across interdepartmental teams, and is a fierce advocate for her properties. Currently, Joanne is a Senior Manager with Mapletree Investments, Inc and has direct oversight for the firms US multifamily portfolio, as well as responsibility for ~2,000 of the firm’s student housing beds in Oregon and Colorado. She has had the pleasure of working for best-in-class brands – including Greystar, Jamboree Housing, Highridge Costa Investors and Healthpeak. Her broad experience includes: development asset management, investments & divestments, fund management, value add strategies, repositioning strategies and various classifications of housing such as active adult, senior housing, affordable housing, conventional multifamily and student properties.

On a personal level, Joanne is a dedicated advocate for women in commercial real estate and is currently serving a 2nd term as President of CREW Orange County. She enjoys mentoring early career professionals and college students to help our industry grow and collaborates with the undergraduate real estate associations at Cal State Fullerton and UCI. She holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science and an MBA in Finance and International Business both from UCI.
